In their long lasting and exciting careers these musicians perform together in ensembles such as: Trilok Gurtu, Hozam Ramzy, Billy Cobham, Houssaine Kili, Cultband Embryo, Dissidenten, Sydney Symphony Orchestra to name a few.
In this unique musical set up they bring together rhythms of all parts of the world in a way, you can`t hear nowhere else. Lets takes you on a journey through the magic of improvisation and spontaneity. Ever evolving with powerful rhythms, in the senses, of rhythms has no known boundaries.
So, get on the train and fasten seatbelt and let you take on a unforgettable tripp to Shatabdis world of fantastic rhythm and dance.
This music is full of unbelievable attraction. Although predominantly rhythm based, it is not limited to percussion alone. Songs by Manickam Yogeswaran whose voice travelled all over the world, including Stanley Kubirk’s movie track of “Eyes Wide Shut”, will add another layer with melodies and poetry sung in ancient ragas.
